We partner with Joint Initiatives because their mission aligns closely with ours: helping children, teens, and families access the services they need to thrive. Their programs support early childhood development, youth voice, and coordinated care for complex needs across the Pikes Peak Region. By collaborating with Joint Initiatives, Bright Starts Pediatrics connects families to a wider network of community resources that support growth, resilience, and long-term well-being.
Joint Initiatives is a Colorado Springs–based nonprofit that brings together families, community partners, and local agencies to support children and youth from birth through age 21. Their work focuses on helping families access the resources they need to thrive, especially when services are fragmented or hard to navigate.
JI leads collaborative, community-wide efforts involving more than 60 organizations, local leaders, and government agencies. Their programs are designed to prevent problems early, offer support when challenges arise, and help families access higher-level services when needed.
Their primary programs include:
Foundations – Supports early childhood development, kindergarten readiness, equitable access to health services, and caregiver support.
Voices – Elevates youth and family perspectives, promotes restorative practices, and helps shape community programs that reflect lived experience.
Pathways – Provides coordinated planning and intervention for children and youth (0–21) with complex needs, working closely with families and community partners.
Joint Initiatives serves the Pikes Peak Region with a focus on strengthening family well-being, improving access to services, and building a more connected community. For Bright Starts families, JI can be a helpful next step when navigating support systems, early childhood services, or more intensive resources.
